Boots...

I am really liking these Viberg boots. They are similar to my Daytons but I really love the brown. It is interesting how the difference in color can change an outfit. The captoe is a nice detail especially with the 'brogueing' (wikipedia that shit).

I was cruising through the Hukurokujo blog and saw these Alden Indy's resoled with a vibram sole. We always perved on Indy boots and I still love the silhouette.
Finally, I love these Alden Foss Tugger boots. I have grey roughout boots from Dayton but they are pretty bulky - I have nicknamed them stompers. The first incarnation of the Foss boot was in a beautiful black leather but this go around they have done it in an 'earthy' toned reverse leather - which has a more subtly resemblance to the roughout on my Daytons.

Sticking with the Vibram trend, the dude at Oak Street Bootmakers told me the shoes I ordered should be done by end of november. This picture sold me on the shoes, in my opinion they will be extremely versatile throughout various outfits/seasons.

Dickies Mason Boots

I know... I just bought boots. I really like these though. Same idea as the Red Wing Chukka but comes in more colourways and probably at least half the price. These boots are sleek. Something you could wear rugged but dress up at the same time. The light grey ones are calling my name. Definitely a boot I'd consider in the near future.

Fjallraven Jacket, Wolverine Boots, Inventory

I have tried these on, and will definately be a pickup once I get to Sweden. Fits like a gem. It can be washed to remove the wax for a lighter spring/summer coat and then have the wax reapplied. Frankly, the picture doesn't do the coat justice.

Up next is the 1000 Mile Boots from Wolverine. It is hard to decide where to throw money, so many brands doing similar things. These Wolverine boots are unique, standing out from the rest of the collection. They may be a little high but I definately enjoy the heel detail and moc toe stitching.

Last but not least, the Hypebeast feature on the Inventory space that recently opened up in Vancouver. The photos definately capture the atmosphere and in my opinion there is a humble atmosphere when you walk in. Having been in a seleciton of boutiques, I have to say that this was the most pleasent experience out of the lot. I say the dude (Ryan Willms) around my end of town on more than one occasion without knowing who he was. Check it out...

Double Edge Safety Razor

Staying away from blogs and forums for a good minute have made me forget how much interesting shit I used to stumble across on a daily basis. This car thing is taking over my life again but I think it is time that I stop focusing so much on it and let the chips fall where they may. That means that I'm gonna start looking at gear related stuff again haha. I recently shaved my beard and now I can't seem to let myself grow it out again. The only thing is, my razor sucks. A couple of days ago Scott Schuman of the Sartorialist brought up the issue of where to get replacement heads for his old razor that looks like the one above. Somebody left this link on one of his comments, http://www.kinowear.com/blog/the-elusive-perfect-shave/. It's pretty geeky but it is an interesting read. Like most things, it's funny how a task that seems so simple can have so many tangents that doesn't make it seem like a simple shave anymore. If I still have money left over after blowing it all on my car I wanna pick up a razor like this.
